Frank

In this spacious and airy restaurant, a delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch can be had any day of the week.

Needing a little me-time before my shift on a Wednesday, I headed over to Frank restaurant for one of their famous eggs Benedicts. I wasn’t disappointed! I was stunned to see this perfect poached egg and mouth watering smoked salmon in front of me. Executed with care, it did everything a good poached egg should. I was so pleased to see that it was served on a real English muffin, which is hard to find here in Brussels. This little, toasted, round bread is a British sour dough specialty. And of course, what makes or brakes this dish is the hollandaise sauce. It was so light and fluffy, with a touch of lemon that brings the all important acidity to this recipe. The delicate smoked salmon sat on tartare sauce, a nice touch, and topped with fresh dill.
Wash that down with a skillfully made cappuccino and it’s truly a perfect brunch.

Frank, situated at Place de la Monnaie - Muntplein, has a very quiet terrace, away from road traffic. The interior is very welcoming, with high ceilings and lots of seating. I’ve included the current menu below, just for an idea of their choices. But make sure to check their website for the latest info.

Takeaways are also available, just head directly to the counter inside to order a coffee to go.
