1000 - This place is close to my heart. Dirk’s kitchen is full of tradition and love for local produce. If you’re looking for authentic Brussels food, here it is. A definite top 5 in my book. Lunch special fro; Monday to Friday. Reservations are preferable, especially evenings.

1000 - A perfect place to dine between friends or business associates. Known for their high quality meats and always perfectly cooked fish. An amazing wine selection (the wine list is 22 pages!) A reliable kitchen in a relaxed environment. Just a stone throw away from Place Sainte-Catherine, ideally positioned at the more quiet end of Rue de Flandre. Lunch special everyday of the week. Reservations highly recommended.

1000 - Meyboom is all about spaghetti, a fresh beer and friendly service. All wrapped up in a beautiful “vieille époque” setting. Quietly hidden away next to the Comic Strip museum (Belgisch Stripcentrum - Museum / Centre Belge de la Bande Dessinée). You can easily have a lunch amongst colleagues, they accommodate big groups. Reservations are a good idea for groups, but not an obligation for smaller tables.

1060 - Being north american, I’m naturally a big fan of smokey ribs and meats. This place won’t disappoint your BBQ cravings. With a smoker imported from Dallas USA and using only oak wood to slow cook their meats, it’s absolutely beautiful thing! They have a extensive selection of whiskeys, ryes and bourbons. Easy to get to, right in front of Porte de Halles in Saint-Gilles, 2 minute walk from the metro. Reservations strongly suggested!

1000 - What we crave when looking for a simple meal is a delicious pizza. At La Bottega della pizza Sablon you will find exactly that. Situated on Rollebeek street, just under Sablon, it’s easy to get to. The crust is the star here, crunchy and soft in all the right places and the toppings are just right. Enjoy a lovely chilled red wine to wash down all that yumminess!

1060 - A traditional Japanese restaurant in Ixelles where chef Yosuke Suetsugu, master of washoku, and son Kunihiro Suetsugu, his 10 year apprentice, present us the finest Japanese food in Brussels. Sample the best sushi, sashimi, teriaki meats, tofu and miso soups.

1000 - This 60 year old family owned business is a sure thing. Classic Belgian dishes in a typical Brussels interior. Perfectly situated at the Vismet, right in front of Sainte-Catherine metro in the centre of Brussels. Here you can depend on good honest food every time. Reservations are recommended

1060 - Al Piccolo Mondo is situated on a side street of Avenue Louise. A Brussels institution since 1979, serving classic Italian dishes. Incredible professional service and a beautiful interior, perfect for any special occasion.

1180 - The warmth in this establishment is like a big hug. The food, the wines, the beer selection, the wood interior, everything exudes their passion for their field. Reservations are a good idea!

1060 - Saigonese eatery in a side street off the hustle and bustle of Avenue Louise. Delicious and inventive sharing plates. Everything is well thought out, beautiful colors, flavors and textures. The staff is very attentive and fun, even the chef will strike up a conversation, when time allows it, of course. A nice wine card, including a good choice of natural wines. Try a cocktail, they’re delicious! A comfortable terrace is situated on a pedestrian street. Reservations are necessary

1050 - A great place for authentic Italian dishes and serve a great pasta dish. A few streets away from Place Flagey, here you’ll find a bistrot feel interior.

1060 - Fernand Obb is not just about their famous shrimp croquettes. They also serve delicious pastrami, burgers, smoked salmon and vegetarian dishes. A deli style restaurant in Saint-Gilles. No reservations
